GENERAL INFORMATION

LOCATION

Duckadang is situated 12kms north west of LINVILLE. Linville is 166 kms north west of Brisbane on the upper reaches of the Brisbane River. Traveling from the north of Brisbane and northern suburbs, proceed through KILCOY and on to the D'Aguilar Highway. Traveling from Brisbane, south of Brisbane or west of Brisbane proceed along Brisbane Valley Highway through ESK and TOOGOOLAWAH, turn left on to the D'Aguilar Highway. Continue on towards MOORE. Turn right immediately before MOORE Township to LINVILLE. Follow the bitumen road (Mt. Stanley Road) approximately 20klms through LINVILLE. Camp Duckadang turn-off is to the right onto gravel road after two causeway crossings of the Brisbane River. Travel time approx. 2 hours.

Mobile Phone reception at Duckadang is in a shadow and therefore unavailable. Pay Phone is available at STD rates. TV is available in the hall.

ACCOMMODATION

2 dormitories with 5 x 4 bed cubicles each, showers, toilets, common room with extra 4 beds. One building with 4 rooms of 4 beds plus 1 x 6 dormitory, showers, toilets and common room. House with 2 rooms of 2 beds each plus shower, toilet, lounge, kitchen and dining room. (This is reserved for Tutors)

SHEETS, PILLOWS AND BLANKETS MUST BE SUPPLIED BY THE CAMPERS. Additional mattresses are available if required.

All beds are 'double bunk' beds.

INDOOR FACILITIES

Large Assembly Hall with timber floor, Tables and Chairs. Audio Visual Equipment (TV, Video, DVD player and PA System), Indoor Bowls. Recreation Area below hall with 4 Table Tennis Tables.

OUTDOOR FACILITIES

  A four metre deep reach of the Brisbane River suitable for fishing, swimming and canoeing. * Quiet roads to wander along and enjoy the countryside.

• Abseiling activities require the camper to provide certified supervision. School canoeing requires the camper to provide certified staff.
